It's operated under a few different names since the 1950's.
Fans of their famous Italian cuisine, karaoke nights and live music will be sad to hear that Nostalgia Ale House & Wine Bar on Saratoga Lake will close this Saturday 1/27. News 10 reports the DiDonna Family, who has owned the restaurant and the South Shore Marina, have decided to sell the properties. Anthony DiDonna says he plans on staying in the area for a while, but intends on moving to Hilton Head, South Carolina in about two years.
I’m ready for warmer weather. I’m ready to see my friends and family at night and not be cooped up in a restaurant.
DiDonna's family ran the restaurant for nearly forty years as 'DiDonna's'. They leased it out in the early 1990's for a number of years, but eventually took over operations, reopening the restaurant as DiDonna's. In 2012, the restaurant was rebranded as Nostalgia Ale House & Wine Bar.
The new owner is from Florida, but DiDonna says he does not know what the current plans are. The restaurant is listed for lease with Hunt Real Estate.
