Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Capital Region Monday Night

Here it comes

Parts of Western and Central New York were hammered by storms Monday afternoon and evening.

That front is making its way to the Albany area. The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the region until midnight. Strong winds and heavy rain is expected.

Line of strong to severe thunderstorms is approaching. History of damaging winds in storms. Storms reach the western Mohawk Valley, southwest Adirondacks and Schoharie Valley between 730 PM and 830 PM.
