When is the Troy Knickerbacker Ice Rink coming back?
Troy City Hall announced the grand reopening of the Knickerbacker Ice Rink in Troy, scheduled for Friday. The arena, previously closed in 2018 due to maintenance issues, has been refreshed and is now ready for the public. Mayor Carmella Mantello and County Executive Steve McLaughlin will be present for a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Free open skating will be available at 5 p.m., followed by a reopening ceremony at 6:30 p.m., a youth hockey game at 6:45 p.m., and more free open skating at 8 p.m. The ice rink is located at 103rd Street and Seventh Avenue in Troy.
